Mills Construction built a new 4,105 SF Casey’s in the location of the old Gas Stop in Volga. The building consisted of a commercial kitchen, commercial freezers and refrigerators, open sales floor, and a lottery room. Two 30,000 gallon fuel tanks and an 18,000 gallon fuel tank was installed. To install the fuel tanks, 6 wells were installed to lower the watertable in the area, then a shoring system was installed to excavate the hole. The exterior consisted of more than 57,000 SF of conrete paving, 3 diesel pumps, and 5 gas pumps. The diesel pumps are in a separate location for ease of access by semi-trucks without interferring with standard vehicles. The project started in May and was complete in October.
